Schools and Bullying
I just read something that infuriated me and immediately turned to writing because that’s just what I do when I’m angry. LGBTQ Nation posted an article on 08/10/18 about a new plan for bullied students in Florida. Bullying is an epidemic in America and, according to the Human Rights Campaign (www.hrc.org/youth) those on the LGBTQ spectrum are twice as likely to be bullied. Writing While Uninspired
Lately I’ve had difficulty putting the words in my head to paper. Instead I’ve found myself glued to the TV, yelling at the screen as every day another attack on human rights happens in America. It’s been a struggle to stay positive, which in turn can make it hard to write a happy love story. I find myself physically and mentally exhausted at the end of each day and many times end up looking at a blank page. My mind feels like quicksand. The flow of words are stuck deep down
